Miss Belvedere - An Update

Miss Belvedere, Tulsa Oklahoma's entombed 1957 Belvedere Sport Coupe that was unearthed in 2007 is still in New Jersey undergoing stabilization work. Accurate reports on her progress have been hard to come by so I was pleased when I came across this update over at the Hemmings blog (click on the 1st photo to go there, and be sure to listen to the MP3 interview with Dwight Foster that's included in the article).

Mr. Foster has done a remarkable job thus far on Miss Belvedere.
I met him and saw the car in person last year.
A very nice gentleman indeed.

No, I can't see how she'll ever run again. Most of her metal surfaces are very thin, some paper thin. I'd imagine she can barely hold her own weight. Can you imagine what the vibrations of a running engine would do to her?
